Opposition parties in West Bengal have alleged that the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) workers are not allowing their candidates to file nominations for the upcoming assembly elections. The allegations have been made by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the Congress, and the Left Front.

The BJP has said that its candidates in several constituencies have been prevented from filing nominations by TMC workers. The party has also alleged that TMC workers have been threatening and intimidating its workers and supporters.

The Congress has said that its candidates in at least 10 constituencies have been unable to file nominations due to the TMC's "goondaism". The party has also alleged that TMC workers have ransacked the Congress office in one constituency.

The Left Front has said that its candidates in at least 20 constituencies have been prevented from filing nominations by the TMC. The party has also alleged that TMC workers have been attacking Left Front workers and supporters.

The TMC has denied the allegations, saying that the opposition parties are trying to create a false narrative. The party has said that it is committed to free and fair elections.

The Election Commission of India (ECI) has taken suo motu cognizance of the allegations and has asked the state government to provide security to the opposition candidates. The ECI has also asked the state government to investigate the allegations and take action against the perpetrators.

The allegations have raised concerns about the conduct of the upcoming assembly elections in West Bengal. The elections are scheduled to be held in eight phases between March 27 and May 2.
